Vietnam sweeps four out of five golds in final day of artistic gymnastics

SINGAPORE - Vietnam ended the final day of the SEA Games artistic gymnastics competition with a bang, clinching four of five golds on offer at the Bishan Sports Hall on Wednesday afternoon.

The men's vault saw Vietnamese Le Thanh Tung score a 15.000 points to emerge victorious, ahead of team-mate Hoang Cuong (14.866). The Philippines' Reyland Capellan took bronze (14.616).

Dinh Phuong Thanh then won the men's parallel bars (15.833), while Thailand's Rartchawat Kaewpanya (14.800) finished second. Pham Phuoc Hung was third (14.633).

Dinh then added men's horizontal bar gold after a 14.233 effort. Malaysian Jeremiah Loo won silver (14.133) while Singaporean Muhammad Jufrie was third (12.833).

In the women's balance beam, Phan Thi Ha Thanh snagged the gold with a 13.966 showing. Team-mate Do Thi Van Anh was second (13.333) while Malaysian Farah Ann Abdul Hadi was third (13.300).

But Farah managed to win the women's floor exercise gold when she notched 13.733. Indonesia's Rifda Irfanalutfi (13.700) and Vietnam's Phan rounded off the podium (13.433).

Singapore ended the last day of the artistic gymnastics discipline with a total of three silvers and four bronzes. The rhythmic gymastics discipline will start on Sunday
