Video of PM Lee Hsien Loong with athletes in SEA Games opening ceremony practice gains popularity

SINGAPORE - A video featuring Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong meeting the Singapore athletes who are participating in the 28th SEA Games has been gaining popularity online.

The video, posted on the Prime Minister's Office YouTube channel, features PM Lee participating in a practice session for the opening ceremony of the games. Mr Lee then changes out of his SEA Games attire, donning a suit and tie.

In the video, Mr Lee meets with the Singapore netballers and takes a picture with them before a young boy approaches him to pin a SEA Games badge on his collar.

The video was released on June 5, the night of the SEA Games opening ceremony. The cheerful video has garnered positive reactions online with most complimenting Mr Lee for his sporting attitude.

The SEA Games song You're Wonderful is performed by Gayle Nerva, Tabitha Nauser, Tay Kewei, Jean Tan and Hubba Bubbas.
