Britain's James Guy struck gold at the Fina World Championships yesterday with a shock win in the 200m freestyle final, as he beat China's Sun Yang at the wall.

The 19-year-old touched at 1min 45.14sec to leave big names in his trail.

He was just 0.06sec ahead of long-distance expert Sun, while Germany's world record holder Paul Biedermann took bronze in 1:45.38. American Ryan Lochte, who led early on, was fourth at 1:45.83.
