Three more individual bronzes for Singapore fencers

SINGAPORE - Team Singapore had to settle for three bronze medals in the SEA Games fencing competition on Thursday.

In the men's individual foil event, Kevin Chan lost to Thailand's two-time gold medallist Panchan Nontapat 6-15 in the last four.

In the women's individual epee semi-finals, Rahardja Rania Herlina lost 10-15 to Raguin Harlene of the Philippines.

Debutante Law Ywen also fell in the final four, losing 13-15 to Thailand's Starrat Sirawalai.

All semi-finalists are guaranteed a bronze medal as there is no play-off for third place.
