The 2015 Roland Garros champion outlasted the Briton 6-7 (6-8), 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (7-3), 6-1 to earn his place in tomorrow's final where he will meet either Rafael Nadal or Dominic Thiem, whose match result was not available at press time.
