Here are three players who could stop Novak Djokovic from completing his career Grand Slam.

KEI NISHIKORI (JPN)

Age: 26

World ranking: 6

Best showing at Roland Garros: Q-finals (2015)

The Japanese has not had a good record in Paris. His best effort was a quarter-final showing last year.

However, he has been in good form of late, making it to the final in Barcelona last month.

DOMINIC THIEM (AUS)

Age: 22

World ranking: 15

Best showing at Roland Garros: 2nd round (2014-15)

One of the biggest risers on the ATP Tour this season, the young Austrian has already won two titles this year, defeating Rafael Nadal along the way. His powerful one-handed backhand could be a threat, especially on clay courts.

DAVID GOFFIN (BEL)

Age: 25

World ranking: 13

Best showing at Roland Garros: 4th round (2012) He is hoping to clinch his maiden Grand Slam title and a key for him this season is his increased first-serve percentage.

According to ATP data, his first-serve percentage has increased around 14 per cent from last season. It has shown results with the Belgian overshadowing big hitters this year with victories over Tomas Berdych and Stan Wawrinka.
