NEW YORK (AFP) - Five-time champion Roger Federer reached the US Open fourth round on Sunday with a 4-6, 6-1, 6-1, 6-1 win over Marcel Granollers of Spain.

The second seed will face either Adrian Mannarino of France or Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut for a place in the quarter-finals.

Federer had trailed 2-5 in the first set before a two-hour rain suspension.

However, he then won 20 of the next 24 games to claim his 70th career win at the tournament.
