Off the court: What's on the playlist of WTA Finals players?

SINGAPORE - What keeps Tennis world No. 2 Simona Halep pumped up during a tournament? Happy by Pharrell Williams, it seems.

In a video posted on the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) YouTube channel, players who are here in Singapore for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals shared the songs on their playlists.

Up and coming Spanish player Garbine Muguruza said she looks to music for motivation.

"I like to listen (to) really strong songs," she said, listing David Guetta and Rihanna as examples.

Rihanna was a favourite among the ladies, and was also named by Czech player Lucie Safarova and Germany's Angelique Kerber.

Top-seeded doubles team Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza are more into ballads.

Swiss Hingis said Take Me to Church by Hozier gets her going, though she mis-named the song as "Going to Church".

India's Mirza is into Ed Sheeran and John Legend, she said.
