The top players of the Women's Tennis Association professional tour exchanged their trainers for stilettos yesterday for a shot at the Merlion Park, before the official singles draw ceremony was held at Marina Bay Sands.

The players are Madison Keys of the United States, Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic, defending champion Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland, world No. 1 Angelique Kerber of Germany, Simona Halep of Romania, Garbine Muguruza of Spain and Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia.
