Tennis: Tsonga needs 3 sets to get past Roger-Vasselin at Queen's Club

LONDON (AP) - Jo-Wilfried Tsonga struggled to a 6-3, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3 victory over Edouard Roger-Vasselin in an all-French match in the second round at Queen's Club on Thursday.

Tsonga, who reached the French Open semi-finals last week, served 11 aces and converted two of four break points. He saved both break chances in the match.

Second-seeded Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic reached the quarter-finals by beating 16th-seeded Grega Zemlja of Slovenia 6-3, 6-4.

Spanish qualifier Feliciano Lopez upset 11th-seeded Julien Benneteau 7-6 (7-5), 6-4, and Igor Sijsling beat No. 14 Denis Istomin 7-6 (7-4), 6-1.
