Knowing how to train safely for a sports event, particularly one involving endurance, is important.
To that end, the organisers of this year's OCBC Cycle have arranged for a panel of medical experts to discuss the common types and causes of cycling injuries, and address how they can be treated at a talk at the National University Hospital Sports Centre on July 11.
Information about appropriate footwear, diet and nutrition will be included.
The talk is part of the lead-up to the OCBC Cycle on Aug 30.
Sign up for the July 11 event at stsportscontest@sph.com.sg by Wednesday, July 8.
The e-mail should be titled "Cycling injuries" in the subject field.
Include your full name as in NRIC, NRIC number and contact number.
