KUWAIT CITY - Singapore's top paddler Feng Tianwei was whitewashed 4-0 (13-11, 11-6, 11-9, 11-6) by China's world No. 2 Ding Ning in the ITTF World Tour Kuwait Open semi-finals on Sunday.

While the world No. 6 forced deuce at 10-10 in the opening game after trailing 8-10, it was one-way traffic for most of the match.

Feng, 29, had upset the third-ranked Zhu Yuling 4-1 (11-9, 11-9, 6-11, 11-9, 11-7) in the quarter-finals, and thumped her fellow Singaporean Yu Mengyu 4-0 (11-4, 11-4, 11-3, 11-4 in the round of 16).

Ding will meet her Chinese compatriot Li Xiaoxia, the world No. 8 who beat Japanese Kasumi Ishikawa 4-1 (11-4, 11-5, 5-11, 12-10, 15-13), in the final.
