Table tennis: Singapore claim 4 golds at Commonwealth Championships

SINGAPORE - Singapore's paddlers ended their Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships campaign on Monday with a haul of four golds and four bronzes.

Three of the golds were delivered by Zhou Yihan in the women's singles, women's doubles with Lin Ye and in the team event, where she combined with Lin, Yee Herng Hwee, Zhang Wanling and Pearlyn Koh.

The fourth gold came courtesy of Chen Feng in the men's singles.

The bronzes went to Yee/Koh (women's doubles), Lin (women's singles), Li Hu/Zhou (mixed doubles) and Pang Xuejie, Clarence Chew, Li, Yang Zi and Chen (men's team).

The six-day tournament, in Surat, India, attracted 12 teams in the men's competition and nine in the women's. Singapore were top seeds in both.
