SINGAPORE - Liberty Insurance has been unveiled as the official insurance partner for the Fina/airweave Swimming World Cup 2016 presented by Yakult in Singapore.
The announcement was made on Tuesday (Sept 20) at the Singapore Sports Museum Black Box.
The Singapore leg of the Swimming World Cup, featuring over 250 swimmers from 20 countries, will take place here on Oct 21 and 22.
This is the 10th year that the Republic is hosting a leg of the event.
Liberty Insurance also launched its Sound of Support campaign to encourage all Singaporeans to show their support for Team Singapore swimmers in the lead-up to the competition.
Said Singapore Swimming Association president Lee Kok Choy: "This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Fina/airweave Swimming World Cup in Singapore, and we're delighted to have Liberty Insurance on board as our partner to celebrate this key milestone together.
"In the past decade this competition has not only inspired local athletes but our coaches, officials and fans as well, helping us to grow to become the aquatics nation for the region and beyond.
"We're thankful for the support from Liberty Insurance as we look to bring the world's best swimming action right at the heart of Singapore."
Also present at the announcement were national swimmers Pang Sheng Jun, Amanda Lim and Nur Marina Chan.
