SINGAPORE - Singapore's Olympic champion Joseph Schooling was greeted by about 500 people at the Kinokuniya Main Store at Ngee Ann City on Sunday (Nov 20), when he signed copies of his photo book titled Hello, My Name is Joseph Schooling.

While 150 queue tickets for the book signing were given out by the organisers, members of the public - some of whom arrived as early as 9am - lined the pathways along the bookshelves to catch a glimpse of the gold-winning swimmer.

First in line was 10-year-old Rayner Grignani, who was with his father Robert. Rayner, a student at United World College, is a swimmer as well, and got his swimming cap signed by Schooling.

Said Rayner: "I'm really happy I met him, and proud that he was fast enough to beat Michael Phelps and win the gold medal."
