Singapore swimmer Joseph Schooling's flight landed around 1am yesterday, but jet lag did not stop the University of Texas student from attending his first training session with the national team in the afternoon in preparation for the SEA Games.

Said Schooling: "I'm really sleepy but in a few days I'll be back to normal. I feel solid in the water and I'm not worried at all."

It was also his first time at the 3,000-seat OCBC Aquatic Centre, and the 19-year-old said: "It's pretty slick. I liked it."
