Stingrays book place in Netball Super League grand final after beating Marlins

SINGAPORE - Defending champions Sneakers Stingrays advanced to May 14's Netball Super League grand final, after beating the Magic Marlins 44-40 in the semi-finals at Toa Payoh Sports Hall on Saturday.

The league's top two teams battled hard, with intense end-to-end action from the opening whistle, but it was the Stingrays who found an extra gear in the fourth quarter to eke out the win.

The Marlins will have to return and play again on Sunday against the Blaze Dolphins for the right to face the Stingrays in the grand final.

The Dolphins were 52-45 victors over the Tiger Sharks in Saturday's other semi-final to stay in contention for a grand final spot.
