SINGAPORE - Registration for this year's Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore will kick off with a digital queue on June 25.

The digital queue, which was first implemented at last year's edition, allows runners to accumulate points through their social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) when they post race-related content like selfies, share their favourite running spots or curate their top running music playlists.

The top 100 participants in the digital queue, which ends after a week on July 1, will earn themselves free entry to a race category of their choice. The top 10 entries will also win themselves a pair of Brooks running shoes and a starting place in the elite pen, should they decide to participate in the full marathon. A Seiko watch will be given to the top three digital queue winners.

Registration for the digital queue begins on June 23. Standard Chartered Bank cardholders will be able to secure super early bird slots on July 5 and 6, while sign-ups for the general public begins on July 7 from 10am onwards.

Medals, tees and memorabilia from the past editions of the race will be on show at its roadshow from July 7 to 10, in celebration of its 15th anniversary.

Also available at the roadshow is a baseline conditioning analysis for runners, where they will take a series of tests conducted by certified fitness coaches that allows them to plot a training regimen leading up to the race.
