SINGAPORE - Running enthusiasts can now participate in the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore (SCMS) in a new way - by registering via social media.

Launching on July 1, runners can now join the first ever digital queue found on the marathonsingapore.com/digital website.

Runners who are able to get more retweets, comments and likes with SCMS related content will be able to earn points and get to the front of the queue. They can share their content with official SCMS pages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using hashtags #SCMS2015 and #DIGITALQUEUE.

With the queue ending on July 8, the top 100 participants in the digital queue will get to register for their chosen SCMS category free of charge.

Apart from the queue, runners can also join the launch event on July 9 at Plaza Singapura to clinch a commemorative golden bib which offers 50 per cent discount off SCMS registration fee across all categories for the Dec 6 event.
