MALAYSIANS came out tops on the final day of the Old Chang Kee Singapore Squash Open at the Kallang Squash Centre yesterday.
In the women's premier division final, world No. 64 Rachel Arnold proved too strong for Singapore's Mao Shu Hui, winning 11-5, 12-10, 11-5 to bag a $2,000 prize.
In the men's category, double Asian Games gold medallist Ong Beng Hee downed fellow Malaysian Valentino Bong 11-7, 11-3, 11-8.
The world No. 31 earned $3,000.
Organised by the Singapore Squash Rackets Association, the five-day tournament is an Asian Squash Federation "Gold" event with ranking points at stake.
It featured around 350 players from 11 countries who competed across 11 categories.
Starting from this edition, food company Old Chang Kee is headlining the event for five years to the tune of $200,000.
