S'pore U-21s third in Vietnam tournament
HO CHI MINH CITY • Singapore's Under-21 football team finished third in the Vietnam Youth Newspaper Cup on Sunday after beating the Vietnam U-21s .
They won 6-5 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time. Vietnam took the lead in the 64th minute through Lam Ti Phong, but Singaporean midfielder Joshua Pereira, 18, equalised in the 90th minute.
Rusada will not be shut down, says minister
MOSCOW• The Russian Anti-Doping Agency (Rusada) will not be disbanded, despite the scandal surrounding the systemic doping of athletes.
The country last week agreed to cooperate with inspectors, who will oversee changes to its drug-testing system.
But Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko said yesterday that its own testing authority will not be shut down.

S'pore indoor skydivers flying high in Dubai
The Republic's indoor skydiving team, Team Firefly, had two podium finishes at the first-ever Clash of Champions event.
The duo of Choo Yi Xuan, 13, and Kyra Poh, 12, finished second in the Dynamic Two-Way category, while Kyra joined the Four-Way Formation outfit Skyblockers to win a bronze in their category. The competition was held in Dubai from last Wednesday to Saturday.
