Kyrgios smashes 3 rackets in defeat

CINCINNATI (Ohio) • Nick Kyrgios found himself back in the news at the Cincinnati Masters, when the Australian tennis player smashed three rackets in succession as he went down to a 7-6 (7-2), 4-6, 7-6 (8-6) defeat by Borna Coric.

Kyrgios' frustrations boiled over in the second-round match, after he surrendered the first set on a double fault whereupon he returned to his seat at the changeover, picked up the rackets one by one from beside his chair and walloped them on to the hard-court surface.
