Poh second second in Port Dickson event

PORT DICKSON • Singapore golfer Johnson Poh finished joint second at the PGM Port Dickson Championship yesterday.

Poh closed with a four-under 67 and 271 total alongside Jakraphan Premsirigorn (65) at the Port Dickson Golf and Country Club.

Fellow Thai Panuwat Muenlek shot 65 for a winning score of 270 at the RM$200,000 (S$67,450) Asian Development Tour event.

Woods to miss Ohio, long shot for US Open

NEW YORK • Tiger Woods will not play in this week's Memorial tournament in Ohio after failing to enter by Friday's deadline.

The odds of the 14-time Major champion playing at the US Open in 18 days are lengthening.

Sakho's drugs test ban lifted by Uefa

PARIS • Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho's provisional suspension for failing a drugs test has been lifted by European football governing body Uefa.

The France international was banned for 30 days after testing positive for an illegal substance following Liverpool's Europa League tie against Manchester United on March 17.

MUNICH • Robert Lewandowski's agent Cezary Kucharski has revealed that the Bayern Munich striker has held talks with Real Madrid.
