Near half-time flurry sets Warriors up for 57th win
LOS ANGELES • Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined for three three-pointers in the final 58 seconds of the first half to help the Golden State Warriors pull away from the Utah Jazz en route to a 115-94 win in the National Basketball Association on Wednesday.
The Warriors (57-6) won their 27th game in a row at home this season and 46th straight at the Oracle Arena dating back to last January.
Korean official charged over bribes for selection
SEOUL • South Korean prosecutors have arrested and charged an unnamed former board member of the country's swimming federation for receiving 230 million won (S$264,500) to influence the selection of athletes and the appointment of board members.
Roh Min Sang, the long-time coach of Olympic champion Park Tae Hwan, also allegedly paid 90 million won to the same former board member, but he was not charged as the statute of limitations had expired in his case.
Bolt set for great show at home in June
KINGSTON (Jamaica) • Six-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt on Wednesday helped announce the inaugural Racers Grand Prix in Kingston set for June 11 and hinted that he might produce a special performance on Jamaican soil.
Bolt, the world record holder in the 100m and 200m, will headline a strong field in the Rio Olympics run-up event that includes world 400m champion Wayde van Niekirk of South Africa and American 100m World Championships bronze medallist Tori Bowie.
Same England XV to take to field against Wales
LONDON • England rugby coach Eddie Jones has named an unchanged starting side for tomorrow's potential Six Nations title showdown against Wales at Twickenham but recalled powerhouse centre Manu Tuilagi to the bench.
He kept faith with the XV who kicked off the tournament leaders' 21-10 victory over holders Ireland last time out, which kept alive their hopes of a Grand Slam.
