Ko labours with new caddie at Sime Darby

KUALA LUMPUR • World No. 1 Lydia Ko struggled to tie for 30th on the first day of the Sime Darby LPGA yesterday. The 19-year-old, using a Malaysian caddie after ditching Australian Jason Hamilton earlier this month, shot an even-par 71 to lie eight shots off the lead.

South Korea's Amy Yang was two shots clear at the top after shooting eight birdies for a 63. American Marina Alex (65) was second.

Marseille ring in the changes with new hire

Lara to hold coaching clinic next month

West Indies cricket great Brian Lara will be in Singapore on Nov 12 and 13 en route to Australia.

Singapore Cricket Club has arranged a coaching clinic, a game of golf and a dinner meeting with the 47-year-old Trinidadian during his time here.
