Infantino & African officials in powwow

JOHANNESBURG • Fifa president Gianni Infantino will meet more than 50 presidents of African football associations in an unprecedented summit in Johannesburg tomorrow and Wednesday.

Each of the continent's 54 member countries has been invited to a day-long executive summit with Infantino, called to discuss general issues in the game and explain Fifa's plans to expand the World Cup and changes to its development structures.

Bielsa to jump back into fray with Lille

LILLE • Iconic Argentinian football coach Marcelo Bielsa, known as "El Loco" for his intense "all in" style, will be back in France as manager of Ligue 1 club Lille come July.

Lille are 14th in Ligue 1, and were taken over three weeks ago by Luxembourg-Spanish businessman Gerard Lopez, a colourful tycoon and former owner of Formula One team Lotus.

Ex-F1 driver Buemi truly electrifying

BUENOS AIRES • Sebastien Buemi of Switzerland became the first driver to win three Formula E rounds in a row on Saturday, with Argentinian fans also witnessing another milestone with a "race" between two driverless cars on the streets of Buenos Aires.

Buemi, the reigning champion and a former Formula One driver, has now won all three races this season for the Renault e.dams team, with the Buenos Aires meeting following on from Hong Kong and Morocco.
