Geylang International thrashed Garena Young Lions 4-0 yesterday at the Jalan Besar Stadium with goals from Shahfiq Ghani (15th), Victor Coto (38th), Faritz Hameed (51st) and Shawal Anuar (70th).

In Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei DPMM beat Warriors FC 3-2 in another S-League game. Azwan Ali Rahman (36th, 65th) and Rafael Ramazotti (48th) scored for DPMM. Jordan Webb (24th) and Shahril Ishak (81st) were the Warriors' scorers.


Australia upset All Blacks in Bledisloe Cup

BRISBANE • Australia surprised New Zealand 23-18 in a Bledisloe Cup match yesterday. Reece Hodge's 50m penalty just before the final whistle sealed victory for the Wallabies.

The All Blacks had already retained the Cup after two wins in the Rugby Championship.

Groves cleared for Commonwealth Games

SYDNEY • Olympic silver medallist Madeline Groves has been cleared of a third breach of anti-doping "whereabouts rules" by Fina and is free to compete at next year's Commonwealth Games, Swimming Australia said yesterday. Groves, second in the 200m butterfly in Rio, missed her third test in May.

Kings name woman as assistant coach

LOS ANGELES • The Sacramento Kings named former Women's National Basketball Association player and coach Jenny Boucek as an assistant coach for player development on Friday. She was on the bench as the Kings beat the Dallas Mavericks 93-88.

Boucek, who coached the WNBA's Seattle Storm from 2015-17, and San Antonio Spurs' Becky Hammon are the only women assistant coaches in the NBA.
