De Boer's job on the line at Inter meeting

MILAN • Inter Milan will host crisis talks with coach Frank de Boer tomorrow, according to reports. The Serie A football giants slipped to their third consecutive league defeat on Sunday, losing 1-2 at Atalanta, to fall further out of title contention.

Mumm will have no say in opening tour game

AUCKLAND • Wallabies flanker Dean Mumm has been suspended for one match after striking All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick in rugby's Bledisloe Cup Test in Auckland on Saturday.

The punishment, handed down yesterday, means Mumm will miss the opening game of their northern hemisphere tour against Wales in Cardiff on Nov 5.

Carreno Busta clinches second tennis title

MOSCOW • Sixth-seeded Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta battled back from a set down to defeat unseeded Fabio Fognini and win tennis' Kremlin Cup in Moscow.

Carreno Busta, ranked 36th in the world, won 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in 1hr 54min to record his second triumph over the 29-year-old Italian in as many meetings to claim his second title.

S. Korea makes it trio of PGA Tour events in Asia

SEOUL • Asia will host three consecutive PGA Tour events starting from next year, after the announcement yesterday of a new, permanent South Korean stop on the US golf association's global tour schedule.

The event, to be called the CJ Cup, will be held for the first time on Oct 16-22, 2017 at the Nine Bridges course on the southern resort island of Jeju.
