CNY discount for rugby sevens tickets

Rugby Singapore is offering a Chinese New Year promotion to fans, with a 15 per cent discount on tickets for the April 28-29 HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens.

From today till midnight on Feb 20, fans purchasing Category One and Category Two Family bundles, priced at $320 and $120 respectively, will enjoy the discount. Each Family bundle consists of two adult tickets and two youth tickets, for children up to 18. Kids below the age of four enter for free.

Quick win boosts Federer's bid for history

ROTTERDAM • Roger Federer beat Belgian Ruben Bemelmans 6-1, 6-2 in 47 minutes at the Rotterdam Open on Wednesday to move just two wins away from becoming the oldest world No. 1 in men's tennis.

The 36-year-old will displace Spaniard Rafael Nadal, 31, as the top-ranked player if he reaches the semi-finals. He would also set another record of the longest gap (five years and 106 days) between periods as No. 1.
