Singapore Swimming Association partners sports-health company Phiten in 3-year deal

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) has teamed up with Phiten, naming the sports-health technology company as its sports recovery partner on Tuesday.

The three-year deal will see the SSA receive over $100,000 worth of support in cash and kind each year from the Japanese company.

Equipment and technology will be provided to assist high-performance athletes under the SSA.

Said national head coach of swimming Sergio Lopez: "Our athletes are extremely committed to training and hence, risk fatigue and injuries. Rest and recovery is very important and a key element to our training plans. Functional technology and health-care products can gelp athletes relieve muscle tension, assisting to speed recovery and enhance performance."
