Born and raised in Singapore, Kilani Daane, 16, honed her beach volleyball talent here. The teenager, whose father is Dutch and mother is Canadian, will play in the top tier of the National Collegiate Athletic Association championships from next year, after earning a scholarship to Tulane University in the US. She aims to don Singapore colours on the global stage.
