Singapore quartet are champions in team jumping event

SINGAPORE - The Republic's showjumping team galloped their way to a SEA Games team jumping gold on Monday at the Singapore Turf Club Riding Centre

The team of Catherine Chew (astride Coquira), Janine Khoo (Snoopnose), Cheong Su-Yen (Claim Collin), and Predrag Marjanovic (Calypso) delivered a performance of perfection, scoring a total of 0 penalties over two rounds of jumping to claim the gold.

They beat the Malaysian quartet of Sharmini Ratnasingham (Arcado), Ahmad Imtaz Amir Hamzah (Gin Fizz), Natasha Ines Wah idris (Wachintha) and Mohammad Nabil Fikri Ismail (Urgola), who scored a total of 18 penalties.

Thailand's team of Kontawat Samran (Amadeus) and sisters Siengsaw and Sailub Lertratanachai (Dakota and Cagena respectively) scored a total of 20 penalties to finish third.
