Singapore bowling looking to Storm to success

Singapore bowling has notched a major strike thanks to a new partnership with Storm Products, a global leader in technical equipment and expertise for the sport.

The American company, which had a similar agreement with powerhouses South Korea for the past 12 years, will prepare Singapore's elite bowlers for major competitions such as the SEA Games later this year and the Asian Games next year.

They will also conduct regular seminars to keep local coaches abreast of the latest developments and techniques in bowling. The deal is an open-ended one with no cash component.

Singapore Bowling Federation president Jessie Phua said on Thursday: "Knowledge is one of the most important components to success at the high performance level. With Storm's guidance, I'm confident that our coaches and players will grow from strength to strength."
