SINGAPORE - There will be no shooters competing in the women's 10m air rifle event at this year's Olympic Games, after Singapore's three shooters all missed the cut at the Asia Olympic qualifying event in New Delhi on Friday evening.

Martina Lindsay Veloso, Jasmine Ser and Ho Xiu Yi did well enough in the preliminaries to reach the final, but were all eliminated - in that order. Of the eight shooters in the final, seven were eligible to earn the two spots up for grabs. The event was their last chance to make the Rio de Janeiro Olympics for this event.

Ho had qualified second for the final with a score of 417.6 in the preliminaries. Ser shot a 415.4 while Veloso was the last qualifier with 415.0.

Ser has one more chance to earn a place at the Rio Games when she competes in the women's 50m 3-positions event on Sunday.
