SINGAPORE - Despite missing captain Desmond Oh and forward Lim Shengyu, the Singapore men's basketball team clinched a SEA Games bronze medal on Monday evening as they edged out Thailand in a thrilling 54-49 win.
The result meant Singapore matched their performance at the last Games, where they also finished third.
Larry Liew led the home team with 18 points, while the combined defensive efforts of Russel Low and Delvin Goh shut the Thai offence down late in the game. The duo contributed five blocks and 16 rebounds in between them.
