SINGAPORE - The Singapore fencers ended their individual campaigns after winning three bronzes on Thursday.

In the men's individual foil event, Kevin Chan lost 6-15 to Thailand's two-time gold medallist Nontapat Panchan in the semi-finals to settle for bronze. There are no bronze-medal play-offs in the competition.

In the women's individual epee semi-finals, Rahardja Rania Herlina lost 10-15 to Raguin Harlene from Philippines.

Debutante Lau Ywen also fell in the semi-finals of the women's individual sabre event, losing 13-15 to Thailand's Sirawalai Starrat, but earned Singapore's third bronze medal of the day.
