SEA Games: Indonesia edge Singapore for third straight equestrian team dressage title

SINGAPORE- Indonesia's equestrian riders made it a hat-trick of victories in the SEA Games team dressage competition with another winning performance on Saturday.

Led by 2014 Asian Games bronze medallist Larasati Gading (aboard Wallenstein), the team of Gading, Alfaro Menayang (Desperado), Dewi Kunti Njoto (Don Alvarito) and Ferry Wahyu Hadiyanto (Douceur) scored a total of 206.579 per cent to claim the gold medal.

This was Indonesia's third straight triumph in the event after previous wins in 2013 and 2011.

Singapore had to settle for a silver medal at the Singapore Turf Club Riding Centre as the quartet of Catherine Oh (aboard Vlicka), Natalie Tan (Romaniero), Soh Wei Chi (Mirabel Hojris) and Caroline Chew (Tribiani) managed a total of 201.711 per cent.

Malaysia's three-man team comprising of Mohamad Din Shaiful (Thor De Martinpre), Mohamad Izry Razali (Cookie' N Cream) and Natalya Aira Idris (Tallong Coral) were third with a score of 170.737 per cent.
