THE Causeway rivalry will be relived next month, as Singapore and Malaysia were paired together in the group phase of the SEA Games football tournament.

Besides the defending champions, the Young Lions - coached by former national captain Aide Iskandar - will also square off against Vietnam, Laos, Brunei and the Philippines in Group A.

Group B features hosts Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia and Timor Leste.

Singapore's group will play their matches in Naypyidaw while Group B is based in Yangon. The tournament is expected to run from Dec 1 to 21. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
