Singapore's Chan Jing Ru won gold in the women's recurve (individual) competition at the Wunna Theikdi Archery Field on Monday.

She won a nail-biting final 6-4 against Titik Kusumawadarni, scoring a bulls-eye for 10 points in her final shot while the Indonesia managed only seven points.

It is Singapore's first archery gold since 1983 when it hosted the Games. Then, Tan Pek Hoon won two golds in the women's individual 70m competition as well as the women's overall title.
