SINGAPORE - Raffles Institution (RI) reinforced their status as the kingpins of squash, when they bagged the Schools National C Division boys' title for the fourth consecutive year.

The Bishan school defeated rivals Fairfield Methodist School (Secondary) 4-1 in the final held at the Kallang Squash Centre on Tuesday.

RI quickly got their noses in front, as Dylan Fernandez beat Kevin Kee 12-10, 11-9, 11-7, and Josiah Chong defeated Ryan Lee 11-6, 11-8, 11-7.

Jerome Aw won a point for Fairfield, when he ousted Jovan Lee 11-6, 5-11, 11-5, 11-4.

But despite a valiant effort by Waye Lee in a thrilling fourth tie, Fairfield could not take the final down to the wire.
