SINGAPORE - Raffles Institution (RI) made it a hat-trick of Schools National A Division Netball Championships when they eased past Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) 60-48 on Thursday (May 26) at the Jurong East Sports Hall to win the title for the third consecutive year.

Having established the lead from the first quarter onwards, RI proved why they won the A Division the two previous years with their high-tempo play and composure to dominate throughout the final.

HCI's efforts to stage a comeback were in vain as RI continued to widen the gap, courtesy of goal shooter Isabelle Belanger, who scored 50 points for the Rafflesians.

RI never lost pace and kept up the momentum even into the last period and comfortably clinched their third A Division title in a row - a first for the school.

In the third and fourth place play-off held earlier, Anglo-Chinese Junior College edged out River Valley High School 32-27 to take the bronze.
