SINGAPORE - Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) won both the Schools National B Division boys' pole vault final and the C Division boys' triple jump final at the National Inter-School Track and Field Championships on Tuesday over at Bishan Stadium.
It was a podium sweep for the HCI pole vault boys, as Clevon Wong took first place with his result of 3.85m. Behind him was Saciin Esan with a 3.80m effort, and in third was Kyler Ong (3.55m).
HCI's Tedd Toh won gold in the C Division boys' triple jump final with 12.81m. Runner-up Hansel Loh from Catholic High School managed 12.60m, while Raffles Institution's Joel Tan claimed third place (12.21m)
In the A Division girls' long jump final, Victoria Junior College's Daphne Kwok's leap of 4.97m was just enough to edge out HCI's Natasha Audrey Weers (4.96m) and take the gold medal. Vivian Ho from Singapore Sports School was third, jumping 4.90m.
