Top French rugby outfit Biarritz Olympique are the latest team to confirm their participation at the World Club 10s championship in Singapore.

The two-time runners-up of the Heineken Cup, rugby's equivalent of European football's elite Champions League, will join Australian powerhouse Brumbies and invitational side Asia Pacific Dragons at the June 21-22 event, the first to be held at the new National Stadium in Kallang.

Fans can expect to see the likes of national players Imanol Harinordoquy, Dimitri Yachvili and Damien Traille from the 14-time French champions.

Biarritz president Serge Blanco, who was one of France's most iconic players, said: "The stadium looks fantastic and it will be a great opportunity for us to meet French rugby fans across all of Asia."

The remaining five teams at the tournament are expected to be named in the next month.

Tickets cost $40 a day or $70 for a two-day pass, with discounts for Safra members and players from local rugby clubs or school teams. For more information, visit www.worldclub10s.com
