SINGAPORE - Tickets for the 2017 Super Rugby season will go on sale on Tuesday (Dec 13) at 10am.

Spectators can buy Category One tickets for all three matches at the price of two during the promotional period, which will last till Dec 31.

There will also be a 15 per cent discount for single-match Category One tickets purchased during the promotional period.

The inaugural season of Super Rugby in Singapore this year saw almost 30,000 people turn up at the National Stadium to support their home team, the HITO-Communications Sunwolves.

The Sunwolves, co-based in Japan and Singapore, are the first Asian team in the expanded Super Rugby league.

They will play 15 matches in the 2017 season, including four in Tokyo and three in Singapore at the Singapore Sports Hub (against South African teams Southern Kings on March 4, Stormers on March 25 and Sharks on May 20).

Said Sunwolves head coach Filo Tiatia: "What is really exciting is that we have 21 players who have experienced Super Rugby, including Sunwolves players from the 2016 season like Willem Britz who has played 23 caps in Super Rugby, Edward Quirk and Miyaki Mori who both had outstanding performances last year for Sunwolves. With these players, we are really excited to get started."

Tickets are priced from $30 onwards and will be available via www.sportshubtix.sg, 3158-7888, Sports Hub Tix Box Office and all SingPost outlets.
