Rugby: England Academy wins Ablitt Cup after 40-21 victory overy Sunnybank of Australia

SINGAPORE - England Academy produced a dominant display on Sunday (Nov 6) to claim the Singapore Cricket Club International Rugby Sevens.

They scored six tries to beat Sunnybank of Australia 40-21 in the final at the Padang in front of 2,500 spectators.

In the Bowl final, Froggied Sevens Rugby Club beat Tamariva Rugby Football Club 35-0. SCC beat NS Wanderers 26-14 in the Plate final and Daveta defeated Interoil Turagus 36-12 in the Shield final.

For the schools and colleagues tournament, Lycee Francais de Singapour beat St Andrew's Secondary School 19-12 in the Under-14 final while the French school beat Tanglin Trust School (TTS) 7-0 in the U-16 final. TTS beat United World College 40-0 in the U-18 category.
