SINGAPORE - Beginning Thursday, there will be a series of road closures at Bishan Sports Centre and Horne Road near Jalan Besar Stadium for the SEA Games.
The carpark driveway leading into and out of Bishan Sports Centre will be closed to vehicular traffic from now until 11 pm on Sunday, June 14.
The centre will be used for football and gymnastics competitions at the SEA Games. The driveway will be closed to facilitate traffic arrangements for the events there.
Horne Road, which is between Hamilton Road and King George's Avenue, will be closed on two occasions to facilitate the football games held at Jalan Besar Stadium.
It will be closed from Monday, June 1 to Thursday, June 4, from 5pm to 11:59pm daily.
It will also be closed from Saturday, June 6 to Thursday, June 11, from 5pm to 11:59pm daily.
On both occasions, access to the named locations will be granted only to police and emergency vehicles.
Parking restrictions along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced. Vehicles found parking and causing obstruction will be towed.
The SEA Games are from June 5 to 16.
