Long jumper Suhairi Suhani and chef de mission Shirley Low leading Singapore's 90-strong Asean Para Games team, its largest away contingent for the biennial Games, at the opening ceremony in Kuala Lumpur's Bukit Jalil Stadium last night. Over 1,400 para-athletes from the 10 Asean countries and Timor Leste will compete across 16 sports at the Games, which conclude on Saturday. Events in five sports - swimming, cycling, wheelchair basketball, athletics and powerlifting - will be broadcast live on the KL2017 YouTube channel from today.
