Olympics: Germany's Thomas Rohler wins javelin gold

RIO DE JANEIRO (AFP) - Germany's Thomas Rohler won gold in the men's Olympic javelin on Saturday.

Rohler launched a best of 90.30m, with Kenya's reigning world champion Julius Yego taking silver with 88.24m.

Defending Olympic champion Keshorn Walcott of Trinidad and Tobago claimed bronze with 85.83m.
