SINGAPORE - Malaysia's Aaliyah Hanifah Yoong broke her own women's trick SEA Games record, winning gold in the waterski competition with 4,850 points at Bedok Reservoir on Friday.

She had set her first record in the preliminary round on Thursday with 4,840 points but proved she was capable of more today. She finished way ahead of silver medalist Nur Alimah Priambodo of Indonesia (2,930 points).

Singapore's Sabelle Kee came in third with 2,620 points. The 17-year-old SEA Games debutant set a new national record, breaking the previous mark of 2,320 points set by her mother May Lwin-Kee in 1992.

Sister Kalya Kee finished fifth out of six contestants with 1,040 points.
