SINGAPORE - Singapore's national netball team got their first victory on Day Three of the Mission Foods Nations Cup on Tuesday, thrashing Chinese Taipei 71-20.
The win coincided with captain Micky Lin's 100th international cap, after 11 years in the national team.
Said national head coach Ruth Aitken on the rare milestone achieved by the 30-year old: "To be here for Micky's 100th cap is really special. I'm just so proud to be on the same team as her."
Lin herself was also pleased at her achievement, saying: "It's amazing to have 100 international caps. It's something not a lot of netballers have the opportunity to gain.
"I feel privileged to have the opportunity to do this and especially on home ground, having the support of friends and family around me. I'm really glad for this opportunity."
